Another scenic section of the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail, the first 1.6 miles of the Hastings Riverwalk was completed in 2011 from Tyden Park to Bliss Riverfront Park with circular loops at either ends.
The paved multi-use trail is part of a proposed network of paths and nature trails to be developed along the Thornapple River by the city of Hastings. Phase two of the project was completed in the summer of 2015, extending the Riverwalk 0.8 miles from the foot- bridge in Tyden Park to the former railbed on Industrial Park Drive, including a new trailhead on Apple Street.
Hastings is a pop-ular destination for paddlesports, as well. You'll find bicycle and kayak rentals, lodging and several good places to eat in Hastings.
